LOCATION: Nunez Community College - 3700 La Fontaine Street Chalmette, LA 70043 - Building B, Room B122

COST: $50 for Louisiana residents. Cost for the course is covered through grant funding but ONLY to Louisiana Residents!  Pay the $50 non-refundable registration fee to hold your seat as seats are limited.

ABOUT THE COURSE: This equipment training (also known as Powered Industrial Truck Training) will include classroom training, as well as hands-on practical skills training on the following equipment:

• Scissor Lift

• Boom Lift

• Forklift

• Telescopic Forklift

The class will begin at 8am and depending on students enrolled, last 6-8 hours.  Majority of the course will be actually evaluating students maneuvering each piece of equipment, as well as training students on how to be a spotter.  Upon completion, student will receive certification to operate each piece, as well as a certification as a spotter.

Please remember to wear work boots (steel toe or similar) and clothes as you would on a construction site.
