Safety Training
The Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Training is a 6-8-hour course designed for any level of experienced equipment operator or hopeful operator. The course will prepare students for a position that may require operation of specified pieces of equipment. This will include a combination of classroom, but majority of the course will be hands-on equipment training on key safety and operational practices. Upon completion, participants will have the knowledge of key safety and operational practices following training requirements of OSHA’s 29 CFR Section 1926.602(d) and 1910.178(l).

What will you learn?
Training Focuses on operating procedures, such as how to drive the forklift vehicle and operate the hydraulic lift safely. While your training primarily covers loading and unloading materials, it also includes handling hazardous materials and performing vehicle maintenance. Skills demonstrated during this training include:
